Every three months, Sing publishes works—of essay, autofiction, argument, or literature—contributed by writers with something new or important to say. Our work focuses on niche ideas, not always narrative, that ground an interesting voice with a thesis.

Emily Birkett

After a decade of experience in narrative and technical editing — leading projects ranging from print journalism to legal work — Emily is excited to introduce Sing: a space where thoughtful, well-reasoned work can flourish.

Sing was founded on a simple idea: a strong narrative voice, paired with a good idea, will always draw an audience.

Previously, some of Emily’s work and poetry has appeared in publications such as The Festival Review.
